Maths Explore End User Licence Agreement
Last updated: 18 June 2026
This End User Licence Agreement ("EULA") applies to Maths Explore, including the web application, calculation worksheet editor, import and export tools, templates, libraries, account features, AI helper, documentation, and related services.
In this EULA, "Maths Explore", "we", "us", and "our" means Explorare Ltd., the author and owner of Maths Explore, and any business entity through which Maths Explore is made available. "You" means the person or organisation using Maths Explore.
By accessing or using Maths Explore, you agree to this EULA. If you use Maths Explore on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept this EULA for that organisation.
1. Licence grant
Subject to this EULA and any plan limits that apply to your account, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Maths Explore for creating, editing, calculating, importing, saving, and exporting Maths Explore worksheets.
This licence lets you use the application. It does not transfer ownership of Maths Explore, its source code, design, branding, documentation, hosted services, AI prompts, templates supplied by us, or any other intellectual property owned by us or our licensors.
2. Ownership
All copyright and other intellectual property rights in Maths Explore are owned by Explorare Ltd. or the relevant third-party licensors.
You keep ownership of the worksheets, formulas, text, diagrams, imported files, templates, library items, and other content that you create or upload ("User Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, store, transmit, display, and back up User Content only as needed to provide Maths Explore, support your account, secure the service, and comply with law.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or feature ideas, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment to you.
3. Plans and permitted use
Your permitted use depends on your active plan.
- Free accounts may use Maths Explore for private, non-commercial use only, subject to the free plan limits shown in the app, including watermarked PDF exports.
- Professional accounts are for one named individual user. They may be used for commercial work by that individual while the subscription or trial is active.
- Team accounts may be used by the licensed team users or seats assigned to the account. Team administrators are responsible for assigning access only to authorised users.
- Enterprise or custom plans may have extra terms in a separate written agreement or order form. If there is a conflict, the separate written agreement applies for that plan.
You must not share login credentials, bypass seat limits, bypass document limits, remove a watermark where the plan requires one, evade AI credit checks, or use a plan outside its stated scope.
4. Accounts, billing, and access
Some features require an account and an active subscription, trial, team licence, AI credit balance, or other entitlement. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs through your account.
Paid features are available only while the relevant subscription, trial, or entitlement remains active. Prices, taxes, renewal terms, cancellation rights, and refund rules are controlled by the checkout, invoice, or written order terms presented to you when you buy. We may change plan features or prices prospectively, but we will not knowingly remove paid access already purchased for a current billing period unless required for security, legal compliance, service integrity, or breach of this EULA.
5. AI helper
Maths Explore includes an AI-assisted feature called Mathew. Mathew can generate worksheet blocks, formulas, calculations, explanatory text, and related content from your prompts and worksheet context.
AI output can be wrong, incomplete, unsafe, or misleading. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, testing, and approving any AI-generated content before relying on it. Mathew is not a substitute for professional engineering judgement, mathematical verification, legal advice, financial advice, or other expert review.
AI features may be metered and charged using credits or another usage system. Requests may be refused if you do not have enough credit, if the feature is unavailable, or if the request would breach this EULA, applicable law, or our provider obligations.
The separate AI terms or AI notice shown in the app also applies to Mathew and forms part of this EULA.
6. Professional use and verification
Maths Explore is a calculation and documentation aid. It is not a certified design tool, not a compliance checker, and not a replacement for independent professional review.
You are responsible for:
- checking all formulas, units, assumptions, references, inputs, and outputs;
- confirming that results are suitable for your intended use;
- keeping appropriate design records and backups;
- complying with applicable professional standards, codes, regulations, and project requirements; and
- ensuring that any worksheet used for safety-critical, commercial, engineering, construction, financial, or legal decisions is independently reviewed by a competent person.
7. User Content, files, and storage
Maths Explore may store worksheets in your browser, in local files, in your account, or through connected services depending on the features you use. Browser storage and local files can be deleted, corrupted, overwritten, or lost through browser settings, device failure, user action, software defects, or third-party service issues.
You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important worksheets and exported files. We are not responsible for loss of User Content except to the extent liability cannot be excluded by law.
If you import third-party files or content, you are responsible for making sure you have the right to use them and that the imported result is accurate.
8. Exports and generated documents
You may use worksheets, PDFs, images, and other exports that you create with Maths Explore for your own permitted purposes under your plan. Free plan exports may include a "Made with Maths Explore" watermark and may be limited to private, non-commercial use.
No export, watermark, template, or generated document means that we have reviewed, endorsed, certified, or approved the underlying calculations or design.
9. Restrictions
You must not:
- copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, sell, rent, lease, host, or provide access to Maths Explore except as expressly allowed by this EULA;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or non-public models, prompts, systems, or data, except where law permits this despite the restriction;
- interfere with, overload, probe, scan, or disrupt Maths Explore or its related services;
- bypass authentication, beta gates, subscription checks, AI credit checks, security controls, or usage limits;
- use Maths Explore to create, upload, or transmit unlawful, infringing, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or malicious content;
- use Maths Explore in a way that violates third-party rights, applicable laws, export controls, professional duties, or platform rules; or
- remove or obscure copyright notices, trade marks, attribution, or plan-required watermarks.
10. Third-party services and components
Maths Explore may rely on third-party services and components, including authentication providers, AI model providers, payment processors, cloud storage providers, mathematical libraries, UI libraries, hosting providers, and browser APIs.
Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, model behaviour, pricing changes, data handling, or content, except to the extent required by law.
Open-source and third-party software included in Maths Explore remains subject to its own licence terms.
11. Updates and availability
We may update, improve, change, suspend, or discontinue Maths Explore or any feature at any time. We may also apply automatic updates to the hosted application. We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but we do not guarantee that Maths Explore will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.
12. Termination
You may stop using Maths Explore at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach this EULA, misuse the service, create security or legal risk, fail to pay required fees, or if we are required to do so by law or by a third-party provider.
When your licence or account ends, you must stop using paid or restricted features. Sections about ownership, User Content permissions needed for service operation, fees already owed, restrictions, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law continue after termination.
13. No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maths Explore is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, representations, or guarantees that Maths Explore will be accurate, complete, reliable, secure, uninterrupted, error-free, fit for a particular purpose, or suitable for professional, commercial, safety-critical, engineering, or regulatory use.
Nothing in this EULA excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, statutory warranty, or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss or damage, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, data, files, calculations, designs, or savings, even if we were advised that such loss was possible.
15. Changes to this EULA
We may update this EULA from time to time. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the app, website, account email, or another appropriate channel. Continued use of Maths Explore after the updated EULA takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
16. Governing law
Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, this EULA is governed by the laws of New Zealand. The courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to this EULA or Maths Explore.
17. Contact
Questions about this EULA should be sent through support channel provided.
